Yep, it still works if you know how to wire it up... and I do! The large family bible off to the side was given to my father by his sister (my aunt Betty) and her family, not long before he died. It is over 50 years old.
Happy Wordless Wednesday all!

oh cool! I think it's kind of sad that my kids will grow up not knowing what it's like to DIAL a phone. Like when you keep your finger in the dial and let it be pulled back home or other quirky things I did as a kid! :D
ReplyDeletei love relics like that - all part of americana, that we're sadly losing. thanks for refreshing my memory!
ReplyDeletehappy ww. ☺
OMG! Can we say party lines. I talked to all my friends on one of these growing up and hoped the neighbors weren't listening!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a keeper :) Brings back memories where cordless phones were unheard off :P
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you still have it and still working.Which one do u prefer the modern style or the old style phone? :)
ReplyDeleteMy WW entry is up too!
Happy Wednesday!
Amor, I'm not using it today but I could if I wanted to. I keep it to display with some other older items I have.
ReplyDeleteThe difference is that it's analog and we live in a digital world. You're limited by how far you move about with a cord and there are obviously no modern features available with it. No caller id, no call waiting, no call transfer, no conference calls... it's beginning to sound really good to me. Maybe I'll hook it back up! lol
cOOL! Nice vintage! Really a treasure!
ReplyDeleteTake a look at mine:
My Precious
Just Me... Eds
I think we have one like this before, but it's no where to find now! Lucky you! :)
