Wordless Wednesday

Here's a couple of pictures from yesterday. These were taken at our last stop and are basically as they came SOOC except for applying the USM (Unsharpen Mask) before I resized them for posting on the web. These are 25% of their original size. This little lane is another place that holds special memories for me. My kids and I used to walk down this lane on our way to the little grocery store by the main highway about a mile or so from our house. I used to drive down it when my son would ask me to take the 'shortcut'.

Happy Wordless Wednesday all!

  3. Marsha -- thanks for stopping by Penny Lane. I am so glad you did so I could come back here.

I love your photos. The area looks so countrified and those walks must be so memorable!

Your word verification was not working correctly. I had to copy my post then refresh as "show picture" did not work at all.

  6. Great shots! So peaceful and pretty. The comment about the shortcut reminded me of my nephew. There's a little side road to get to his street and he always wants to take it. He named it for himself.

  11. I don't think he's the ref, he's kind of scared of Nixon, I'd say he's a by-stander watching the fight. (play-fight) that is. My money would be on Nixon if it were a real fight. This is a cat-nip induced sprawl.

  12. I love scenic little "shortcuts" like this. I remember asking my parents on more than one occasion if we could take the "longcut" because it was a prettier drive.

  14. Hi Marsha -- That first place conjurs up memories even if we haven't been exactly at that place. Very nicely done.
I would like to place it in southern U.S. but I feel you are further north.

Thanks for the visit, Happy WW!

  18. Lovely memory. There is something special and neat about a "lane" not a road or a street but a lane. Nice pictures, all the green is nice to see.
