Friday Feast #187
Appetizer-- Name a color you find soothing.
I find shades of blue to be calming. They have a serene, peaceful feel to them.
Soup-- Using 20 or less words, describe your first driving experience.
Sitting on Uncle Norman's lap. He worked the pedals and I steered. I was 8 or 9 years old.
Salad-- What material is your favorite item of clothing made out of?
This would have been so easy a few years ago as I lived in denim. Today, I am not so much into denim as I used to be. I suppose my favorite item today would be my leather jacket.
Main Course-- Who is a great singer or musician who, if they were to come to your town for a concert, you would spend the night outside waiting for tickets to see?
I'm not so sure that I would spend the night outside waiting for tickets to see anyone at this point in my life. Most of the performers I would love to see are no longer with us. The Beatles, perhaps Elvis, still performing would be James Taylor. Quick story -- we had tickets to see Elvis the last time he performed here in Monroe but our son, an infant at the time, got sick and was hospitalized and we didn't get to go.
Dessert-- What is the most frequent letter of the alphabet in your whole name (first, middle, maiden, last, etc.)?
I have 24 letters in my complete name, 6 each in the first, middle, maiden, and married -- the breakdown of letters is as follows: 2 M's, 3 A's, 4 R's, 2 S's, 1 H, 4 E's, 3 L's, 2 I's, 1 N, 1 O, 1 G -- the R's and E's have it!

Hi Marsha! Thanks for stopping by again. I've always loved the color blue. I also find it peaceful and calming. Denim would be my second favorite choice of material. James Taylor would be nice to see in concert.
I think my mom and I would have been in that Elvis line, too! Have a great Friday!!
great feast.
It's my first time in FF.
Mine is up now.

glad to see you there.
I enjoyed your feast. Blue is such a soothing color, and to me, no one is worth waiting up all night for!
Too bad about Elvis. He would be the one I would stay up all night for :o(
Happy Friday!
I agree with your appetizer...and your Main Course, well, I grew up near Graceland! Great feast!
Aw Elvis. But that's a good reason to miss his show. Great feast.
Oh, yes! James Taylor!! I actually saw him at a local outdoor venue a few years ago... GREAT SHOW! His song, "Baby James" has new meaning to me since the birth of our son, James. I couldn't get that song out of my mind for weeks after our little baby James was born.
Have a wonderful weekend ~ Suzy
I had tickets to see Elvis, I think it was October, but he died before that show. I was able to see him a few years before his death. A show I will never forget.
Good post, Marsha. We love James Taylor, and my wife was invited to go with a friend to watch him live in Toronto a couple years ago. She loved it!
Happy FF!
My post...
Thanks for stopping by! And I totally didn't think of Elvis. I'd probably go to that, as well, and take my mom since she's a big fan.
Great feast! Your first driving experience sounds like a fun memory. I like my leather jacket too, but I don't wear it much since I have two small kids, I don't want it to get ruined.
I'm pretty attached to my leather jacket, too :)
Thanks for visiting today! Hope you have a terrific weekend!
Wonderful feast, I did not even think to answer a group no longer together -- that was creative on your part.
Driving rather young! LOL
Sorry to hear you missed Elvis.
We served similar appetizers and main courses, blue and not waiting all night to buy tickets.
Great feast!
Oh, that's too bad about not seeing Elvis!!!
I enjoyed your feast. Thanks for stopping by.
I chose blue as well.
My Feast

Sounds like you have a great Uncle Norman! That would have to be a great memory :-)
Great feast btw
Great feast!
Love the answer to your soup. How some of us made it alive through learning to drive still amazes me.
Some of our answers are the same or at least pretty close.
Thanks so much for feasting with me!
We moved from MO to LA (Shreveport/Bossier) and now we're in TX. I like TX much better then LA so I completely understand why you are still feeling misplaced. :)
Your soup is so fun! I love it. And sorry about missing that Elvis concert -but our kids are always important. :-)
Thanks for coming by. We had to work all day today, so I was not a very good feast participant this time. And.. I realized I double copied.... silly blonde roots. I enjoyed getting to know a little more about you. :-)
Great feast! All the ones I would like to see entertain are not doing so anymore too. My late husband who was an entertainer, got to meet and become friends with Elvis when my husband worked on the Matsonia. Elvis was on his way to Hawaii, so there was a photo of the two of them in our local newspaper. :)
Thanks for dropping by my feast.
How cool to have 6 letters in each of your names!
That close to seeing Elvis and having to miss it... oh Maaaannnnn.... that would 'kill' me. Mom used to tell me I should send Elvis a letter and tell him my birthday is (was) the same day as his and in a child's foolishness, I just said "awww Mom", thinking it was the most silly idea ever. Now how I wish I'd sent that letter. Who knows, he may have sent me a card or a gift, and either way... wow.
Whoof!! Thanks fur visiting me and leaving a message. Tell Ginger 'hi' fur me. The truck has a canopy on it to keep me safe, so I just get to stick my head out the windows too, and when we're driving I like to stay at the front, just as close to Mom as I can, not at the back woof my head out. Last summer Mom had a rack on the truck woof the canopy off, and I loved that. I think she'll build me another one on there this year. I bent and broke the other one, arf, arf.
Just so everyone knows, when I drove with my uncle, we were on a back country road that they lived on with little or no traffic to speak of. Uncle Norman was a great guy... everyone should have an uncle like that when they are growing up!
Oooo- I used to have driving experiences like your soup- I forgot to mention that on my blog.
Our Happy Happenings
Livin' With Me
great feast! just wanted to say hello!
Hey, Marsha, fun list. I like James Taylor, too. I finally posted the award you gave me with a link to you. Thanks very much! FMuncie Linda!
That's supposed to say "From Muncie Linda" not "FMuncie Linda," although I'm sure people have said something similar before.
I agree the good ones are gone and you made me curious on the letters so I had to check it out I have 5 e's. Hunny has 5 n's. :) Interesting stuff. :)
Some of our answers were very similar. This was my first time and I have found so many blogs this way. Hope to see your next one.
