A quick update, The Women's Colony and a sad note
Once again, I apologize for the lack of posts here. I am not ready to give up on the idea of blogging but just can't get back into the groove either. I spend a bit of time frequenting Facebook and have been working in Paint Shop Pro again, mostly editing photographs and occasionally I do some digital scrapbooking. I've also been writing a bit although nothing I feel compelled to share here... mostly for my own enjoyment or posting in response to prompts at creative writing sites. Real life tends to take up a bit of my time these days as well.
I do still frequent several blogs each day and some short time back I added The Women's Colony to my list of daily reads. I think I found the blog through the Pioneer Woman's site. Mrs. G posts there on occasion. It's a fun blog, with a little more adult content than most that I read. There are many guest posts on the site in each of the several 'rooms' at the Colony. I enjoy Mrs. G's self-deprecating humor and unique third person style of blogging. She also hosts frequent giveaways that you might want to check out if you care to visit her site.
On a sad note, I had to put Mr. Woody K. Nibs to sleep a couple of weeks ago. Woody had been losing weight and after a couple of visits to the vet, x-rays revealed that he had cancer and that it was not realistic to try to treat him. He really didn't act sick and remained active up to the very end. If his breathing hadn't become labored, I probably wouldn't have taken him to the vet that day. He was such a sweetheart and Ginger and I both miss him.
I hope you won't give up on me just yet. I still plan to return to posting regularly one of these days!
