Wordless Wednesday

I'm terribly late this morning in getting my Wordless Wednesday post up. This photo of my granddaughter Emily was taken the same day as last week's WW post of another granddaughter Sarah. The day holds some very simple and pleasant memories for me. I'm not sure Emily felt the same way as she found herself bored and spent part of our time there laying on the picnic table while her younger sister walked the beach. I think Sarah got the best of the day... what do you think?

Happy Wordless Wednesday all!

Marsha -- thanks for stopping by Penny Lane.
I stopped by early this am and your post was not up. I thought maybe you were still away.

I am glad you have such wonderful memories of that very special day.
I like the beach scene the best, if I had to choose.

You've all reminded me that I sometimes take life far too seriously. Thanks to your comments, I can see the value of just laying back and taking it easy, no matter where you are. I guess I just remember her being bored more than appreciating her ability to chill out on the table! OUCH! It makes my back hurt to just think about laying there!

I think laying of a table is an awesome way to pass some time. I noticed her cell phone was close in case someone tried to contact her.

This is a great shot, Marsha. It's such a peaceful moment - both in the image you share and the scene you describe.

I'm so glad that WW pointed me in your direction. My entry is up here, and I hope you have a moment to drop by and say hi:

Cool photo - and don't worry about the boredness. It's a phase, an age, a time they'll look back on and wish they had time to be bored again!
