Help Me Remember!
I must try and cultivate an eye for life's mercies... And life, while it has its ugly swamps, its vile weeds, and its sharp thorns, has always its fair flowers to charm the eye with their beauty, or to fill the air with their fragrance...
--Rev. John Flowers Serjeant, 1878
Sometimes I go about pitying myself, and all the time I am being carried on great winds across the sky.

I love that second quote! I hold fantastic pity parties, but the fact remains that I am incredibly blessed... if only I choose to notice it.
Definitely. Those are both great quotes, as well as the one on your homepage. I have been trying to cultivate an eye for things I ought to be more thankful for.
